I bought this for my granddaughter and she LOVES it. She was really delighted by the ending and now thinks she is an expert on crocodiles. The pictures and bright and vibrant and she is having lots of fun finding the frogs hidden in the pictures. Highly recommend as a great gift.
Truly delightful book. I teach grade 1 and my pupils really enjoyed this story.
In the Crocodile who found his smile, Crosby, the young crocodile is like a young child at 3 to 4 years with his enthusiasm for life and the need for exploration and adventure. But he is in need of a playmate. The rhyming poetry of the story with the imaginative illustrations lend themselves to a range of fun interpretation making it a great book for the development of language. The verses for the older children at the end are suitable for age range 7+ and will stimulate interest to learn more about crocodiles.
Splendidly beautiful
