Book Description

On the wild northwestern coast of Ireland, Evie Turner’s family farm was everything – until it wasn’t. Grief hollowed out their home after her mother’s death, and in the midst of that silence, Meabh arrived. Beautiful. Polished and quietly but unashamedly taking control.

Evie escaped to Montana for a year with the task of breaking horses and finding herself under the wide-open skies. There, she learnt strength, she built a new rhythm and fell for Brody Walker, a quiet cowboy with shadows of his own.

But when tragedy strikes back home, Evie returns to Seahaven – and nothing is as it seems.

Her father, distant. Her sister, on edge. Meabh is still there, always watching. Always smiling. But behind the sweetness, something darker is lurking.

The Echo of Her Shadow is a gripping tale of identity and the fight to reclaim what’s been taken. With its coastal backdrop and slow-burning suspense, it’s a story of resilience, buried secrets – and one woman’s refusal to be silenced.

Lisa Gorman is a married mum of two with a deep love for coffee, books, and beautifully told stories. When she’s not trying to find the right words for her next book or chasing after little humans, she’s either paddling in a dragon boat, playing netball, strength training or when she can she is curled up with a novel and a hot cup of coffee.

Lisa loves writing and has dreamed for many years about being a published author. Her style of writing blends warmth, wit, and a touch of everyday magic for everyone to enjoy.

The echo of her Shadow is a fantastic debut novel by Lisa Gorman. The story line is gripping, a real page turner. I loved the wee sayings that all good Irish families have said to each other. Relatable points of Love, loss and strength. The entire novel captures you into the life of Evie Turner. Roll on the next novel.
