Rickmears School was no ordinary school. It was enchanted, filled with magic and wonder. Strange things often happened within its walls, though never anything truly bad. Old Tom, the school groundsman, was the only one who knew the truth. He alone had been granted a special power. But why him? Why not the teachers or the headmaster?

With his secret gift, Old Tom embarks on a series of unexpected adventures, all within the school grounds. Along the way, he meets new friends, each with unique powers of their own, who need his help and are eager to help in return.

But the question remains: can Old Tom stay the course? Will he have the strength and courage to bring balance and order back to this magical place of learning?

Frederick K. was born in 1961 in Hertfordshire, England. At a young age, he enjoyed walking in the countryside, and there began his love of nature and wildlife. From here, this led him to walk many of the British national trails, such as the Pennine Way, Offa’s Dyke, and many more. He also loved skiing and being in the mountains. After a short sales career, he eventually became a groundsman for a local school; it was here that he realised he had a love for writing.
