Hedley is a young seagull living in Padstow Harbour, Cornwall. He is desperate to learn how to fish like a proper seagull, but his parents prefer to teach him to live off the food provided by the tourists. That is until Hedley meets an Australian seagull who teaches him to find his wings and his independence.

The author works within the NHS as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and has two young children with her long term partner. She often holidays in Cornwall every summer and has recently discovered family connections with the area. Writing is a hobby which helps her relax after work and she hopes to continue story telling in the future.

A delightful read in every way, coloured by a wise and wonderful message for all parents. Ah, how I remember Aesop’s fables.
