A charming story which celebrates difference and promotes being unique. Perfect for children of all ages. My neice will love it! The illustrations are equally as wonderful as the story. Lizzie Ingram is a children's author to watch out for after this stunning debut.

Such a beautiful story teaching children how beautiful it is to be different. Read with my 3 year old who absolutely loved it, a perfect book with a great hidden meaning!

  • Andrew Kelly

A delightful story with an important message all children need to believe. My daughter has read the book repeatedly since she got it and is now discussing differences and uniqueness with a much greater understanding than before she read this book. This is the perfect bedtime story. A pumpkin is for life - not just for Halloween!

  • Deb

Great, heartfelt, inspiring, strong, caring and magical story. It is a book for all the little and big pumpkins out there to be their own individual pumpkin. Will fast become a family and classroom favourite.

  • Sue

A heart-warming story told with such gentle tenderness you can't help but be moved! The atmosphere changes from lively, colourful bustle as all the other pumpkins are snaffled up, to feelings of lonely inadequacy as our little wonky heroine is left on the shelf.
With a masterly change of tone, her despair gives way to excitement - and then great happiness in knowing that she matters!
A brilliantly-inspired narrative, which will give children confidence to celebrate how different and unique we all are!
