Urdhagati Anna Ross is an artist and author of the children’s book The Magic Amulet of the Kingdom. Born into a Bulgarian family in Frankfurt am Main and graduating in painting from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, she follows her dream of traveling and exploring the world. This led her to the deep Indian philosophy of self-knowledge and self-improvement.

A lovely book with magical illustrations! They alone lead you into a world of fairy tales. The story is encouraging and charming. So I can wholeheartedly recommend this book, not only for children but for all those with a childlike heart.

This charming book invokes a beautiful realm. It is a child’s story, and a child, after all, is still imbued with the purity of the higher worlds from which she descended to earth. We have much to receive from these higher worlds, our forgotten source. The magic of the book is the power of faith and courage, and the certainty that the world will help us in many surprising ways to reach our highest goal. We are never too young, or too old, to learn and re-learn this truth. Princess Laila is on the verge of adulthood. May she forever keep her child-heart’s wisdom, and may we all rediscover our own.

My niece loves this book -it's her absolute favourite. She goes through it repeatedly, captivated by the illustrations, and the story itself is wonderful. It's a book she never seems to tire of.

An enchantingly written book with beautiful illustrations! It combines heart, courage, and imagination. The young princess is tasked with saving her kingdom from destruction and must repeatedly summon all her courage, act wisely, and listen to her heart in order to move forward.
