Albert Wharton was never just an ordinary kid in the Yorkshire Dales and became no ordinary London detective. When called on to solve a murder in the Dales village of his birth, he didn’t take much persuading to go but never realised how much it would change his life. David Anson was born in Yorkshire but has lived much of his life elsewhere, never forgetting his roots. Now retired from his former professional career, he travels around it as much as he can, finding inspiration and studying its history.
