The Patient Seagull is a fun and uplifting story of a little gull who wants to see a world where they are not the enemy, shooed away and disliked by most people.

He watches on as seagulls steal picnics and upset children.

Seeing the summer madness from above he wonders if people and seagulls could ever find peace with each other.

Will taking inspiration from an unlikely source work? Will the other seagulls even give it a try?

Hayley Hartles was born in Staffordshire, where she inherited her love of reading from her Mum. Some of her earliest memories are spending time in bookshops searching for a new book. Hayley now resides in the Cotswolds with her husband and two children where her love for reading has evolved into a passion for writing children’s literature. She enjoys spending time in Lyme Regis in Dorset, paddle boarding and sea-swimming. This is where her first children’s book The Patient Seagull is set.
