The world's most secret service, MI60, is at risk of being exposed. Their agents can no longer go into the field. The brains behind MI60, James S. Brogan, turns to the most unlikely source to protect the nation's security by covertly recruiting two unwitting boys to undertake a dangerous world-roaming mission. Brothers, Jack and Charlie, become the youngest and newest secret agents of MI60; the Rockwall Brothers are born.

Pete Cross is a new author with a penchant for world adventure, driven by his love for the sporty outdoor life and his family's desire to travel.  Living in Leicester, England with his wife and two sons and with a successful career as a Director in the National Health Service and an academic Doctorate to his name, his aspiration to inspire others to explore and seek out different challenges is reflected in his writing.

This isn't just a children's story, I was drawn in & I'm 47. I'm reviewing this for Booksnakes Book Club, we're a mature age book club and we give feedback direct to authors and publishers. I believe there may be one other reviewer from Booksnakes that has posted here already but felt compelled to write having read this book.
I was impressed by the ability of the author to describe the characters & capture the scenery & settings. You can tell the main characters are based on real life as they are intimately described & an image of them is created in my mind. A well thought out plot, I agree with previous reviews on here that it had a feel of tintin and 007 about it.
I've also read around the author as part of my review & it appears that he (assuming this is not a pen name - remember Robert Galbraith/JK - and the photo on your website is the real life author) is new to writing books - in this case Cross will only get even better and is one for me to watch out for - an exciting prospect.
As part of my review I have to write about the flaws, I couldn't find any great flaws to write about so the only issue I have is that paperback and hardback have been released together, quite unusual and a bit like a film being released on DVD at the same time as being on at the cinema, which doesn't serve justice to a very good author.
I'm not a fan of children's books, I'm not a fan of secret agent adventures but I'm now a fan of this book - a children's secret agent adventure - and if there is more to come from Cross then I have been convinced to find a place on my bookshelf for more of his work. 5/5 (rating system by publisher).10/10 (Booksnakes rating system).
