This is a divergent collection of writing and one containing widely contrasting themes; arcadia bleeds into an evolving dystopia in 'Autopsy', surreality is tempered by emotion in 'Concrete Butterfly', an intense examination of tacit meanings and intentions between lovers can be felt in 'On the Cliff', and the pastoral backdrop to a personal symbiotic realisation transports the reader to 'Grasmere Green'.Pete Scoble's writing throws open doors of opportunity to explore the intuitive nature of the human condition. A sense of private 'knowing' is reflected throughout this volume, but also qualities of sense and self-perception are left to be discovered between the lines.

Pete Scoble was born in Fleetwood, on Lancashire's Fylde Coast. After university and college he became a freelance journalist before becoming a teacher in Manchester. He is a proficient guitarist and has been a member of various folk-rock and jazz fusion bands and delivers private guitar tuition. After retiring from education and as a qualified photographer, he established 'Hyperion Photographics', a photographic business specialising design commissions for musicians and small businesses and has had his work exhibited throughout the North West. The studio closed in 2012 and since then Pete has concentrated on writing and on private photographic design commission. He lives in Cheshire with his wife Ann.
