Book Description

It is the ninth century.

Manu has spent four glorious years with his tutor in Alexandria. It is almost time for him to return home to Baghdad. Before he departs, the tutor has one last treat for the young man.

A trek which will not only lead him home but allow him to witness the practice of what he has learnt while he has been away.

But shortly after setting off, tragedy strikes as they set up camp for the night. The tutor is bitten by a scorpion and dies.

In the distant future, where the Sword currently resides, alarm bells ring. It has to intervene. Manu must complete his expedition.

If he does, the Sword will never meet this young man, who, as he matures, will become its Keeper.

Without Manu to help, the Sword will not be able to keep history on track, and the Universe will fall.

One option remains.  The Sword must call on the apprentice Keeper of the Sword.

The mission to safeguard Manu so he can reach his destiny begins.

It will be a journey like no other.

After a busy career both in the UK and overseas, Lynda Thrift is now happily retired in the West Midlands.
