Tamara Jenkins was born and raised in Birmingham. She began writing her own stories and songs at an early age.
Tamara studied Shakespeare at the University of Worcester and graduated with an honours degree in English and psychology. For the past fifteen years, she has worked in education with hearing-impaired children.
Tamara is a proud auntie to her nephew, Matthew, and niece, Elizabeth. She loves sharing stories with them both.
The Washing Up Fairy is Tamara’s first picture book and was illustrated by her father, Robert Jenkins.
