Book Description

I wrote this book with an exceptional little girl in mind. Sandi has autism, and I decided that by telling her story I might be able to enlighten those of us who may not understand the challenges that are involved.

Through this story I would like to spread awareness and kindness to people with all different abilities.

You will meet Sandi Strawberry, who overcomes her fears to go to the rescue of others in need.

After a busy week at school learning about recycling used items, Sandi needs to remember what Mr Carrot had told them in class about how important it is to recycle. “Everything has a place.”

Ruby Molly Hawkins is the author of Let’s Play Hide and Seek. Ruby is concentrating on a series of children’s stories and these are based on the recollections of her childhood and feature the fictional “Hawkins family”: three brothers and a sister, aged between 3-8 years old who are brought up by their father single-handedly. A few years ago, Ruby relocated with her husband and two young sons to Jaen in southern Spain where she worked as an English Language teacher. She now writes full time at home, as well as caring for their ever-expanding family of animals.
