Great story, great pace, great excitement and a great ending. And it is set in Scotland, so what's not to like? This will be enjoyed by young people of all ages because it is very relatable to themselves or their siblings. A fantastic gift and hopefully the first of many from this author.

2 main themes run through this book- kids unkempt bedrooms and the prevalence of 'high energy drinks' amongst kids and parents alike!!! In this case with unexpected consequences I like the setting of the book in outskirts of Edinburgh and the insights the author brings when tying threads together for satisfying outcomes! This book lends itself to parent reading with child- as my 2 daughters are busy doing with the grandkids (7 year olds) it's a busy book, with many characters and much fun, and more suited for children perhaps 10-12 yr olds to read on their own Kaz
