Book Description

From the subtle beauty of everyday moments to life’s deepest challenges, these poems touch on themes of purpose, loss, joy, identity, and love with an openness that feels both raw and comforting. Each verse, whether recounting a memory, an emotion, or a fleeting thought, invites readers to explore the landscape of their own lives. With a voice that is both gentle and unflinchingly sincere, this collection of poetry captures the timeless essence of being human. The poetry is intimate yet universal, a mirror that reflects the reader’s experiences and emotions while also offering fresh perspectives. Anchored in a unique cultural heritage and shaped by a turbulent journey, the words bring a calm resonance that speaks directly to the heart. Write it down. It Helps, is a heartfelt invitation to anyone who has ever felt the weight of their own story, offering a reminder that sometimes, just putting words to our experiences is enough to help us heal, understand, and grow. Discover the beauty and vulnerability in these pages—poetry that connects, heals, and reminds us that we’re never truly alone.

Omana Lundqvist Simbizi is a young Swedish poet with roots in Åland and Burundi. Writing poetry since childhood, she has always found the written word a more natural medium for expression than speech. For her, poetry is more than words; it’s a way to share life experiences, creating art unique to each reader. Educated at a French international school, Omana has been shaped by diverse global perspectives, absorbing more knowledge than she sometimes feels able to process. Drawing inspiration from both her cultural heritage and everyday surroundings, her work invites readers to journey with her through the complexities of life.
