Yoma Sutton has always been different from everyone else.

She may appear like a normal 13-year-old girl on the outside, but Yoma has a special gift. She possesses magical talents, which she tries to keep hidden.

Yoma’s first day at her new school gives her more than she bargained for.

She finds it difficult to follow her parents’ warning to keep her magical talents to herself.

Wanting to find new friends and staying out of trouble makes a hectic time for her.

However, Yoma soon finds herself in a dilemma in the form of the school’s Mean Girls!

Can Jake, the happy-go-lucky freerunner and Annabelle, the shy brain box, help Yoma overcome her fears and find her place at Grand Oak Academy?

Maisy-Rae is a creative young lady who sees the world differently. Her journey into story writing began as a way of adapting to her autism as a child.
Not being able to socialise and finding the world challenging, she created a range of her own imaginary friends in her own safe world, making up fun stories and situations to help her adjust to life in the real world.
Maisy has always wanted to be a writer, feeling now that it is the right time, relishing the opportunity to bring years of characters she has created over time, to life in her books.
Maisy-Rae celebrates people’s differences using this to great effect in her books.

Maisy Rae has certainly created a new heroine. I can't wait to find out how she develops the story.
