Margaret Scott, the author of ‘Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport’ Will be attending an all Day School Event
In preparation of National Pet Day on 11th April, Strathpeffer Primary School has invited Margret Scott is to talk about her book ‘Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport’. She will interact with the students and sign the copies of her book. ‘Jimmy Gets a Pet Passport’ is a story of a lovely Dalmatian named Jimmy, who was born in the USA and met her new Scottish mummy in North Carolina. As she turned three she was required to visit the vet so she could acquire her pet passport to meet her Scottish family. Although she was excited about flying on the aeroplane, she did not look forward to going to the vet. The story is about overcoming her fears and becoming a brave Dalmatian. Margaret Scott spent her childhood in North East of Scotland, she graduated in Sports Development and Health Promotion at University. She worked as a Camp counsellor in Northern Georgia for nine years in the USA. For seven years she worked as an Operations/Program Assistant, where she met Jimmy. Later, she moved back to Scotland in 2015, to help her terminally ill mother. This helped the children’s book author in writing about real life events about Jimmy.
