The Accomplished Author Kunio Yamagishi Was Short-Listed for Rubery Book Awards

Rubery Book Awards short-listed the renowned author Kunio Yamagishi in the category of fiction for his book The Return of a Shadow. Kunio relished this amazing news by thanking his friends and family for constant support. He said he is stunned to hear the news of getting nominated by the prestigious Rubery Prize. The Rubery Prize is an international book award website which welcomes the indie writers, self-published authors and independent authors.

The Return of a Shadow is an emotional roller coaster which revolves around the life of Eizo Osada who leaves his family in Japan and goes to Canada to earn some bread and butter for his family but cards have something else for him. While his stay in Canada the Pearl Harbor attack takes place leaving life in Japan devastated. The last letter received by his wife reads to stay back in Canada as everything is destroyed in Japan after the attack. His connection gets lost with his family and now it’s been 40 years since he met his family. He decides to go to Japan to see his family, knowing the reaction and his place there very-well. He feels like a stranger in his home. He feels like he is just a shadow in the room full of lively people. Find out what Eizo would do after getting such a cold response from his family? would he stay back in Japan to earn the lost trust and love of his family or return to Canada?

The author Kunio Yamagishi is from Fukushima. He graduated from the University of Tokyo and later moved to Canada. He was employed at the Consulate General of Japan in Toronto. He is an investment banker at New York’s Wall Street.
