Author Gerry Spoors Featured in His Local Village News

The author of the historical fiction novel Arthur of the Red Robe got featured in his local village news the Littlethorpe Village. The news website congratulated the author and praised him on the publication of his forst book through Austin Macauley Publishers.

The book Arthur of the Red Robe is based on the fictional expedition of a father and son, Gerry and Kenneth respectively, who embark on a journey to visit to explore the Yeavering Bell, an ancient hill fort in the North of Northumberland. It was occupied some 2000 years ago by the Votadini, an ancient British tribe. During their expedition, they discover something that leads to a major archaeological breakthrough by the scientists. They uncover the truth about the leaders of Votadini Kingdom which eventually leads to reveal the identity of England’s famous legendary King Arthur.

Gerry Spoors has an Honours degree in Chemistry, and is a Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist and fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. In his spare time, he has spent many years studying the history of early Britain, particularly what is now Northern England and Southern Scotland. The main tribe in this area was the Votadini who have significantly influenced the British history.
