The Border Watch Featured Rebecca Watson’s ‘Call Me Frank’

 

Our incredible author, Rebecca Watson, gets featured by The Border Watch for her children’s book, Call Me Frank, on 7th May 2021. The article indulged in Rebecca’s journey of publishing her debut picture book for children. She told The Border Watch that she hopes children who read the book will feel empowered as the story is about strength, creativity and individuality.

 

Call Me Frank is a children’s book that tells the story of a young, shy boy named Francis Frank. He is a lonely boy who wants to make friends but other children bully him. One night before going to bed, he makes a wish to have a friend he can play with. That night, he sees a dream in which he makes a new friend, Charles Charlie. This imaginary friend offers friendship, comfort and guidance to Frank.

 

Rebecca Watson was born in South Australia. She enjoys travelling to new places and learning about new cultures and languages. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of South Australia. She now lives in Adelaide with her husband and daughter.
