Mann Hyung Hur who is the author of Beyond the Division was featured by The Korean Times, sharing the inspiration behind writing a tragic and doomed love story. He shared that he once visited North Korea where she met the lady who was a tour guide. He was so impressed by her that he wrote the novel making her the protagonist of the story. He aspires to reach out to the book readers across the globe with his English novel.
