‘Exploring What It Really Means To Be Gay’ was the title of the interview of our author, Linda D. Rhodes, that came out on LOTL on 29^th July 2021. The interview was conducted by LOTL’s staff and revolved around three to four key questions; like becoming a writer, developing characters, and writing inspirations. Linda’s book is called Beyond the Rainbow and tackles an important discussion around homophobia. The book brings multiple disciplines into the discussion; including but not limited to science, social analysis, history and psychology. To add further to the beauty of this important piece of writing, Linda does not forget to touch the more emotional side of the conversation so that it breeds empathy in the readers.

Linda D. Rhodes holds a PhD in Sociology. Over time, she has made sure that her research surrounds the saddening realities she, herself, saw in the mining towns where she extended nursing services for twenty years. Needless to say, she is doing important work in an effective way.
