Murder Unchained, the third book in the Paul West Mystery Series is preceded by Murder Can Kill, written in the year 2018 and Murder never Sleeps in 2020. The main character of this series, Paul West, is a private investigator. As the story begins, Paul is compiling the profile of a man named Jason Knox for his son Mathew who has no memory of him. This makes Paul head on an investigative journey unlike any he had before.
 

Douglas Hall grew up in Haley Station. He attended Renfrew Collegiate Institute until he turned 16. Hall then attended the University of Toronto. He gave seven and a half years of his life to media relations and then 32 years to radio and TV. He then retired in the year 1999 and has since been writing. In his writing career, the 91-year-old Douglas Hall has written five novels, eleven mysteries, three biographies and three children’s books.
