Our children’s author, Tamara Hardy was interviewed by Kim Huynh in Sunday Brunch on August 16, 2020.  Sunday Brunch is broadcasted by ABC Radio where Kim Huynh talks about impactful books and inspiring authors. In the interview, Tamara shared her inspiration behind writing Comet’s Big Escape, the first in a series of stories about Comet the dog. Asked who was in her mind when she wrote Comet’s Big Escape, she said: “I have the child in mind. When I write a book, I like to include all the emotions in my story…happiness, a bit of drama, a bit of fear…which I think I executed within the Comet series.”

The Comet Series: Comet's Big Escape is an illustrated story of a dog named Comet which goes out in search of his human mother, Tam, after she leaves for her work. After a brief interaction with worms and a little hide-and-seek with Shaun, Tam’s friend, Comet, meets Sheeba—another dog. Sheeba understands the plight of Comet and tries to help him in his pursuit.
