Social media influencer that goes by ‘Samama Reads’ has featured the book ‘The Price of a Gift’ by Darrel William on her website and Instagram account. Blogger has organized giveaway to win two signed copies of the book. She has posted it on both her website and Instagram account.

The book ‘The Price of a Gift’ is the story of a friendly gentleman, with English mannerism. However, he was abandoned by his family while he astonishingly surrendered to his banishment so readily. The story although leads from the horrors of World War I, to the prosperous life in Australia, and is a work of fiction the lead character is inspired by a real-life person.

Darrel William McGovern lives in the Newcastle suburb of Fletcher, with his wife, Helen. Their children have left the nest and now the proud grandparents, Mr and Mrs Mc Govern visit their grandchildren as often as possible. As a retired high school teacher, Darrel enjoys fishing, lawn bowling and golf. He now finally has time for his passions for Australian history, research or writing.
