Pancakes in the Morning is a very interesting children’s book that aptly captures the morning mood. Not just the people but birds are also the subjects of the book. There are quirky illustrations to further help children imagine what mornings are like or what they would like their mornings to look like. R. Towers, being a Jersey City firefighter and activist, has a special relationship with his city and surroundings. He gives form and meaning to this relationship through art and words.
