Rebecca Wigston, Author of ‘Tommy Wallis, the Knight of the Hollows’ Interviewed by BBC Radio

BBC Radio Northampton interviewed the author of the book, ‘Tommy Wallis, the Knight of the Hollows’ at the Bernie Keith Show. Rebecca Wigston, the author answered questions about the book and her motivation behind it. The book is a story about a young boy named, Tommy who travels to this faraway land along with his friend Lola with the help of a mirror. This mirror has ‘called’ generations of his family including his missing father to become the Knight of Hunsbury Hollow.

This is a kingdom of elves which is ruled by a weakening king Arrand and is protected by a fierce dragon, Mercey. Together they are assigned the task to go on a quest where they have to defeat the Garracks which are creatures surrounding the Hunsbury Hollow and to bring Prince Lorry back to the kingdom to make him the king. But it is not just about that because what Tommy finds along the way is more than that and it is something that will change his life forever.

The author Rebecca Wigston lives with her family in Northampton. She is an infant school teacher and a passionate woman who wants to inspire children to pick up a book and read for enjoyment.
