Half Term Event: Phil Barnes at Churchdown Library

Phil Barnes, author of 'My Teacher's A Robot' will be at Churchdown Library on Wednesday 1st June from 2:15pm during the school half term. Phil will start off with reading a few chapters from the book and then go on to answer any questions, with a bit of audience participation along the way. With wide, cold eyes, a clenched jaw, and superhuman strength, something's not right about new teacher Miss Ironside. Will quickly realises... she's a robot! One by one, his classmates are being brainwashed after school. Will and his friends must act fast to save everyone before it's too late!

HALF TERM EVENT - Kevin J Adcock's book signing at Nottingham Building Society

Kevin J Adock will be signing copies of his children's book Adventures with Sir Maxwell on Saturday 28th May between 10am - 12 noon at Nottingham Building Society in Shepshed. Every child loves the idea of going on a wild adventure, of finding treasure maps and formulating plans to take down the bad-guys. Throw in wizards, dragons, witches and jousting and you've got the perfect formula for a great kids read.

Ian Marsh visits Rainhill Library

Ian Marsh will be visiting Rainhill Library to give a talk about his book Murderer: On Your Mark on Monday the 14th March at 4.30. Dr Ian Marsh has been a university lecturer for many years and has taught, researched and written widely on crime and criminal justice. He is the author of numerous academic books on crime and justice, and uses his professional expertise to write a brilliant and insightful tale of passion and murder.
