St Gregory's Catholic High School is plying host to the extremely popular author Simon Adepetun this Saturday at their Christmas fair. Head down to meet the man who wrote the equally popular book 'The Bee Hive'. Eleven-year-old Daniel Jeremiah Chambers has parents Philip and Susan who love work and shopping and who just don't listen. Daniel is an only child ... no, he's lying ... he has a sister, Alice, who has a dolly fixation; Dan is sure she is an alien. So, Dan has a few problems, none insurmountable, until his friend, Benji, introduces him to the find of the century - a derelict bee hive which could become a den. Kevin J Adcock, author of 'Adventures with Sir Maxwell' will be at this years Loogabarooga Festival 2016 held in Loughborough. Kevin will be attending the event on Sunday 23rd October from 5pm where you can meet the author and get a signed copy of his book. The festival will include free creative drop-in workshops, storytelling sessions, advice on how to write and illustrate your own book, as well as well known children’s authors and illustrators including Harry Potter illustrator, Jim Kay, Alastair Watson presenting The Dinosaur That Pooped by members of McBusted, and a Clangers workshop to coincide with a new CBeebies series.
