Joseph Johnson to hold Book Reading Event at Wombrook Court for His Book

Joseph Johnson will be holding a book reading for his collection of illustrated poems titled A Book of Birds and Verse for Young and Old. The reading will be held at Wombourne in West Midlands on 9 March. The event will include a presentation of original paintings by the author that were the inspiration for the illustrations in the book. The reading is for a private audience but anyone interested in attending can join by contacting the author at this website: www.joseph-g-johnson.co.uk A Book of Birds and Verse for Young and Old is a poetry book for bird lovers. The book includes poetry and illustrations of some of the most loved birds in the UK. The poetry is about wild birds one may encounter randomly at home or in the English countryside. Joseph Johnson is a bird enthusiast and loves nature. His first book was published for children when he started writing after being inspired by his children. He is a songwriter, a music lover as well as a writer. His love for writing lyrics inspires him to write poetry. He is also an artist, and his oil painting talent is featured in his books, including A Book of Birds and Verse for Young and Old.

Sean Brunton to hold Book Signing Event at Brendon Books

Sean Brunton is scheduled to hold a book signing for his novel, Six of the Best, at Brendon Books, Bath Place, Taunton TA1 4ER, on the 3rd March 2022 at 6:30 pm. The event will include a small discussion by the author and a question and answer session at the end of the discussion. The Q & A will allow readers and fans to learn more about the six heroes of his novel. The event includes a complimentary glass of wine and personally signed books available for purchase. Six of the Best is a biography of six different English heroes that showed bravery and courage in times of difficulty. The six heroes include Richard the Lionheart, Sir William Wallace, Lord Nelson, The Duke of Wellington, Albert Ball V.C. and Roger Bushell. The mini-biographies give you a glimpse into their journeys as they go on to make British history. Their personal stories are examined as individuals as they strive to attain their victories defined by their inner struggles and circumstances. Sean Brunton is not only a writer but a journalist and barrister as well. He has led many high file legal cases and is well-known among legal circles for his closing speeches. He is settled with his family in Somerset.

Fournel's historical fiction novel, Rise of the Maquis, is set in France during World War II and Hitler's invasion of Europe. The novel follows a few soldiers who become friends and form a close-knit team that are brought together by destiny. The soldiers work together to save their country with the help of some famous historical personalities. The novel follows their journey and quest for freedom from the tyrannical rule of Hitler. Charles. G. Fournel is an author and an expert in World War II. Fournel has a special interest in War and military adventures. His novels echo his interest in war and the experiences of soldiers in armed conflicts. His knowledge of arms and ammunition also lends authenticity to his written work. Fournel grew up in Suffolk, England, in a small seaside village. He is a father and enjoys writing about historical events of World War II and armed resistance groups.

Helen Dymond To Attend Her Book Launch Event At The Rotunda, Queens Park

Our talented author Helen Dymond will attend her book launch event for her book, Finding Handel. The book launch will be held at The Rotunda, Church of St Anne and St Andrew Salusbury Road, Queens Park. The event will start on Sunday 12 December, from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.   Finding Handel is the story about sixty-five-year-old Handel, whose journey through Holland is interrupted by a road accident. The novel takes us right away from the usual stereotypes of Handel as a haughty courtier or a comical foreigner and into the mind of an intensely private and passionate man whose unique musical gifts are enjoyed more widely today than ever before.   Helen Dymond’s fascination with Handel started in the 1980s when she sang in the Handel Opera Chorus. For forty years, she was mainly occupied in teaching English and lecturing in Humanities; her final post was at the City Lit, London, teaching Handel’s Operas and Oratorios and Psychology of Religion.

The timings of this event are 2 PM to 4:30 PM.   Finding Handel is a modern-contemporary tale that takes a look into the life of Handel as a sixty-five-year-old man who is on a journey through Holland. By a stroke of bad luck, he gets injured in a bad road accident. He is rescued by the most intriguing couple, watching them deal with their lives and still going on day by day. Handel goes through an emotional and inner journey of self-realisation that makes him think about the life that he has lived. He questions many things that he has never done before.   Helen Dymond has been an educator for forty years. She has been teaching English language and humanities. Helen has a great fondness for the work of Handel. She has sung in the Hadel Opera Chorus in the 1980s. She has put forward research for the Channel 4 Film, starring Simon Callow.
