Teresa Murray
Teresa Murray spent over two decades in humanitarian aid, working in some of the world’s most volatile regions. Specialising in populations affected by violence, armed conflict, and displacement, she has led responses to crises and advocated fiercely for those caught in cycles of conflict and abuse. She also holds postgraduate qualifications in mental health in situations of violence.
Drawing on both professional and deeply personal experiences, Murray wrote The Slaying of Souls to confront prevailing narratives and illuminate the raw realities of violence, exile, and survival. Beyond writing, she is a social impact entrepreneur and activist, leading projects that challenge violence, social injustice, and the trauma they leave behind.
When not immersed in her work, she can often be found on two wheels, indulging her love of motorcycles, or seeking solace in the wild. The Slaying of Souls is her debut novel.
