Book Description

A Midsummer Tale” is a rhyming story with a magical theme – a heartwarming HAPPY EVER AFTER tale.

It is a tale of two young girls whose lives connect in a wonderfully magical way on a midsummer night, triggered by a strange apparition and a shared peculiar experience, which changed the course of their lives by setting in motion some random, unexpected events (with transformational results).

This is a tale of courage, resilience, and kindness in the face of adversity. It is the story of two young girls finding true love, realising their self-worth, and securing their happily ever after—with everyone getting their just rewards.

So, it also involves some necessary transformational magic: a positive necessity when dealing with an unkind character who doesn’t yet deserve her happy ever after but who may eventually (because of that magic) be able to redeem herself and have one.

But that’s another story.

Judith Dewhurst was born and brought up in a small town in the Northwest of England, where she still lives with her husband. She has three daughters and three grandsons.

A part-time career working in pre-school playgroups helped to develop a love of rhyming and of picture books, creating a desire to write a book of her own. Now retired, she has had the time and leisure to do this—better late than never! A Midsummer Tale is her first book.
