A little girl with a love for adventure sets off from her bright pink princess tent, mounting her magical winged horse. Together with her trusty owl companion, she embarks on a spectacular journey to places both near and far.

Along the way, she encounters a menagerie of fascinating creatures: slithering snakes, waddling penguins, shrieking bobcats, and squawking parrots. As she rides towards her favourite destination, she meets an array of different animals, each more exciting than the last.

But the journey takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious visitor threatens to derail her plans. Will the little girl overcome this challenge? Can she reach her destination in time?

A father of two young girls, Calum Dewsbury is a debut author that has taken much inspiration from the imagination of his eldest child; in the writing of There’s a Monster in My Tent.

Reading is one of Calum’s favourite hobbies, and he couldn’t be happier that his girls have taken on this interest. He also loves to read and write and has created his own blog, which provides a tongue-in-cheek take on fatherhood. Outside of this, he also loves sport, eating out, and travelling.

This is just the start for Calum, who has many ideas that he is hoping to put into words in the not-too-distant future.
