Meet Jason Metcalfe, AKA “AL-Oose”, pronounced “EL-OO’S” or “ELLO’S,” e.g., “Hello’s.”

Born in 1981 in the quaint rural town of Te Awamutu, New Zealand.

Encouraged by his parents’ support, he embraced his creative side from an early age. AL’s primary hurdle as a child was his struggle with reading and spelling, but his love for computer games sparked a curiosity for reading and storytelling that helped him to overcome his challenge.

At 27, he pursued his passion for digital media and wrote three captivating stories.

Now, committed to engaging reluctant young readers, Jason dedicates his energy to crafting quality humorous children’s picture books, designed to make you laugh.
