Book Description

Is there room for magic in our modern world of technology and science? Could higher forces protect us, or threaten us?Miya has always known her life would be far from ordinary. Born with a mysterious gift, she can heal others and find people through vivid visions. But her true origins have been kept from her by those sworn to protect her. Now 21, Miya discovers she is a Nephilim – a daughter of an angel – and that the fire within her could save humanity or destroy it. When an ancient organization called the Citadel fails to reveal the truth in time, Miya finds herself choosing the wrong side in the eternal battle between good and evil. Her mistake could cost her everything: her family, her soul, and the fate of the world. With the help of a fallen Archangel, Miya must face the ultimate enemy and learn the devastating secrets the Citadel has fought to keep hidden.

Lora Fray began writing as a way to immerse herself in the joy of storytelling, creating intricate worlds and vibrant characters purely for her own satisfaction. However, after moving from Ukraine following the outbreak of war, her life took an unforeseen turn, altering not only her circumstances but also her outlook on her craft. Writing became more than a passion—it became a way to rebuild, to dream, and to connect.

Her fantasy novels offer readers an escape into vividly imagined realms, a chance to step away from the mundane and explore new realities. Her thrillers, on the other hand, are intricately crafted puzzles, designed to keep readers guessing at every turn. Lora’s goal is to spark curiosity, evoke emotion and craft stories that linger long after the final page.

I really enjoyed reading Heavenly Fire! The story was gripping and I honestly didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series

From the start, Lora Fray’s book grabs your attention and the extremely polished literary style pulls you into the story seamlessly. Mia is an intriguing heroine, and her special charisma makes her somehow tragic and attractive at the same time. I kept thinking I knew where the story was going, but the narrative pulled in all kinds of unexpected directions. The characters are mostly young and attractive, and the style of writing reminded me a bit of the books by Lucy Foley – the interaction of relationships, the will-she won’t she commit to a relationship, plus the surprises about the characters that keep on coming. It’s a tale of the struggle between good and evil, with a good deal of background facts from various texts, folklore and writings that I never knew existed. A very good and entertaining read that keeps you guessing until the last page. . .
