Glenn was born and raised in North Yorkshire. He has a love of old movies and slapstick comedy especially the likes of Laurel and Hardy and Morecambe and Wise.

Leaving home at sixteen, he has had careers in hospitality and haulage before moving to London to join the Metropolitan Police.

He has two grown children and three grandchildren.

He lives with his wife and fur babies in Lincolnshire and likes to write humorous poems.

This is the first book he has penned and hopes to continue the collection where characters new and old have new adventures.

I was looking for a book to buy for my grandchildren as part of their Xmas presents. I have 7 grandchildren raging in age from 2-15. I came across humble bumble on the Internet and the 1st thing that struck me was the front cover. It was very colourful and eye catching. On reading the synopsis I thought this would be a perfect buy for the younger of my grandchildren. My books arrived and the illustrations did not dissapoint, they were very colourful and the characters lovable. I started to read the story! And oh my its an absolutely delightful story! We follow humble bumble a ladybird who has lost 1 spot preventing her from flying with all the other ladybirds. With the help of her animal friends that she meets in Bluebell woods, they embark on a journey to the next valley, to meet a wise old tortoise. Who has a magic book of spells. The group have trials and danger along the way, keeping the reader intrigued and a flatulent field mouse (the noises while reading make the read enjoyable for the kids) called Felix who becomes an unlikely hero. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Mixing an adorable funny story, with lessons to be learned and colourful illustrations. My grandkids love it. Well worth a buy from this new children's author. A short TV movie would be just fab
