Not being from up north I did not appreciate the hardships the miners and their families went through. But along with the hardships there was fun and joy. This book is a really good example of a peek into their lives. A good coffee table book.

Great book full of history of hard working people in dangerous and difficult times. We should keep history alive and these poems reflect the times.
