The story is told through the eyes of Lola.

Highly acclaimed award-winning artist and author Edward Nowak was brought up and educated in a Scottish mining community and following his scholarships with Heriot-Watt University and the College of Art in Edinburgh, he gained a BA (Hons) degree. His work has been displayed at the Royal Academy of Arts in London and the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, as well as more widely throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. He is a past chairman of the Dalkeith and District Arts Guild. In 1981 Edward won first prize in the Stowell’s of Chelsea National Competition for “Modern Warsaw”, which was subsequently displayed at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. The award was presented to Edward by Norman St John-Stevas, the then Minister for the Arts.

 

Edward works from his Surrey studio and also undertakes commission work for businesses, local authorities and private collections and is a member of Surrey Artists Open Studios. He also writes and illustrates children’s novels.
