Far from being a simple reading. So realistic that you find yourself smack dab in the heart of the story. You know the father cannot win, but you hold your breath in the hope of a miracle. Fascinating!
-
Good book. Worth reading. The writer has beautifully crafted the language which is impressive considering it's not his mother tongue.
-
It's a book to settle in with and become completely absorbed into. A strangely compelling story; the author's storytelling is unlike anything I've experienced, yet it is totally engrossing. I'll keep an eye out for 'meet the author' events.

If you believe in the traditional institution called family, you'll want to read this story. I genuinely got to like the characters and felt connections with many of them. The emotional journey of the characters is a remarkably realistic portrayal of today's society, where the author struggles to come to terms with the justice system. Seeing his kids is his only goal. The people in power don't share his view that having a father is essential for children. Investing a few hours in this story might bring you closer to this conundrum. Highly recommend it to everyone in power! Phil Butt

Nothing short of spectacular. The ebb and flow of frustration throughout the book, as you breathe in sync with the author, pulls you in deeply. I was there with him, I was there with the children! Wow!
-
More like 4.5 stars. The characters came alive from the start, and I was hooked from the very beginning. The rest of the journey was enjoyable, and the ending was poignant.
-
A harsh but realistic depiction of the British family court system. The author is using all his experience of being on the receiving end of it. Sometimes, it feels drawn out and tedious, which can burden both the book and the reader, but in most places, they are necessary. Overall, I'm glad I came across this story.

Another Steinbeck fanatic
“When a child first catches adults out -- when it first walks into his grave little head that adults do not always have divine intelligence, that their judgments are not always wise, their thinking true, their sentences just -- his world falls into panic desolation. The gods are fallen and all safety gone. And there is one sure thing about the fall of gods: they do not fall a little; they crash and shatter or sink deeply into green muck. It is a tedious job to build them up again; they never quite shine. And the child's world is never quite whole again. It is an aching kind of growing"
I enjoyed reading. Best of luck to all of you, especially the children!

This is a wrenching, heartfelt book that exposes the huge gaps in the English court system. It shows, in well-written detail, how a father can be separated from his children when a partner manipulates the system. It is a strong book that should highlight the issue and act as a warning to others. I hope the author gets the recognition he deserves and that there's a reconciliation with his family. After the battle he's fought, he deserves it.
-
A moving story written by a father with great courage, love, and determination about his long struggle to gain some access to his children, Sophie and Sam. A thought provoking read.
-
Shocking story of injustice, how was this allowed to happen, a well written story, hopefully one day Gabor will be reunited with his kids
-
My friendship with Gabor goes back nearly fifty years. He wasn't normal back then, and I doubt he is now. I can't imagine him blinking when going through fire for his kids. His story made me so emotional, it truly reflects his character and devotion to his loved ones! I'll be right there cheering for you my friend!
-
Highly recommend if you're in the mood to read a tearjerker. Plausible story, great writing that had me loving every page.

It would take a heart of polar ice not to be moved by this story. Not for the fainthearted.

Being a divorcee in this country makes one extremely vulnerable, whether man or woman, along with their children. Additionally, the vulture solicitors push you further down. This is an interesting read.
-
North East of Eden is a wonderfully written book. It is perfectly pitched to be a word-of-mouth hit of the year.
-
It's a pain to read as it reveals the darkest and most shocking sides of our justice system. Cases where children are used as bargaining chips are among the most distressing. This story is a must-read for everyone, especially those who have the power to bring about change.
-
Eye opening account of how an over protective state can destroy family life.
The grit and determination of the author, his fight for justice and profound love of his children shines through on every page
-
This is an insightful, well-written book that captures the frustration and manipulation of the family court system. The author's experiences should act as a wake-up call for change; fathers count in a child's life and should not be deprived of seeing their offspring. I just hope his children are able to read their father's story and recognise how hard he fought to keep them in his life, and that reconciliation is possible.

Passed on to me... and I'll pass it on to someone else. It glued to my chair, and I am still speechless about what's going on behind closed doors in court. Derek
-
I have known this author for many years, and he has always shown great creativity in his short stories. However, through his challenging experiences, he has transformed his writing, adding much depth to this gripping story. I can't wait for your second book. Well done!
-
I liked it. For me there's too much legal mumbo-jumbo in it, otherwise it's a gripping story.
-
I found it unputdownable. I was crying when it ended and how it ended. I hope the next few chapters will bring you some peace. Loads of love, Sam

Step by step guide to help women learn how to play the system and become mothers like Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Katie Price. Easy-peasy.
Maybe the system needs an overhaul. Good read mate. Heartbreaking but good. Mark West

A Moving story that will touch every Parent, bringing a really difficult insight into our Family court system and the damage it can cause. What touched me most was the unwavering love for his Children and the lengths he has gone to show he never gave up. A great read that deserves a happy ending.
-
Congratulations! A very moving story written from the heart with a unique style. I've heard quite a lot about family court in this country but this is something else. A real eye-opener, and I'm extremely curious about how the kids will react. Best of luck with the impact and reception of your book and your future, Trish
