Book Description

Want to know what has happened to the five students known as the Pentagon Pirate Gang?

Following their frantic and life-turning adventure at the School Fruit Teaching, in the Secrets of the Orchard, the five students from Fig House lay ghostly white in the school infirmary after being maliciously poisoned. Two of them recover only to be led into another perilous escapade to find the remedy to cure the remaining three, which lies in the second orchard.

As their dangerous, filled journey continues, they learn shocking new truths about Mr Thornby, the deputy head. Back in the school, tensions mount between the teachers, Amie and her best friend Gramon, with far-reaching consequences, whilst the school’s governing body is called in to question the headmistress, one of whom happens to be Gramon’s mother, whom she hasn’t seen for six months.

Will they all recover and survive what Mrs Blackfruit has planned for them?

J W Nelson was born in Birmingham, England.

He has enjoyed writing since he was ten years old and his stories were often read out to the class in English at school. Since then, he has continued to write for the enjoyment of it, whether it was lyrics for songs or poems. He attempts to dedicate time to continue writing, whilst having a busy home life (married with two teen children).

Writing is a long-time passion leading to several self-published books: Poems for the Festive Season, an adult rom-com titled Company of Fools, and the first book in the mid-grade/YA series, Pentagon Pirate Gang: The Secret of the Orchard. He also has a couple of poetry-based younger children picture books in the works.

Outside his demanding job as a software sales manager, he carries out the role of being a father and husband, he partakes in partner dancing (ballroom/Salsa), DJing, trying to keep fit, and operates as a qualified football coach.
