Book Description

Poppy and her dog Bramble have the best kitchen in the world. Their kitchen is filled with magic courtesy of the kitchen witch. She makes the yummiest treats, but only after causing lots and lots of mischief. Let’s hope Bramble’s fur doesn’t change colour again during tonight’s witching hour.

Eilidh wrote The Kitchen Witch while on maternity leave. She was inspired while trying to think of ways to make weaning and the kitchen fun for her daughter so she could hopefully learn to love food and cooking. Eilidh’s mum had a kitchen witch in Eilidh’s childhood home in Scotland, and Eilidh thought she was the perfect character to make the kitchen fun. Bramble, Eilidh’s border terrier, is a big fan of spillage in the kitchen, although he is less confident around the chaos of the kitchen now that there is a little girl in the home.
