Book Description

In a beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers and cheerful birds, the wise Banyan Tree teaches an important lesson: every flower, whether big or small, bright or delicate, has a special place in the garden.

But when the marigold flowers are left out and struggle to grow, the garden begins to lose its warmth and beauty.

Through this heartfelt tale, children will learn about kindness, inclusion, and the power of standing together. The story encourages young readers to celebrate differences, support one another, and recognise that every life – regardless of background, belief, identity, gender, or nationality – is valuable, just like every flower in the garden.

This is a gentle and inspiring book for parents and children to read together, reminding us that we are all stronger when we grow side by side.

Parul Rohal is a passionate educator, storyteller, and advocate for social change and human rights. With a background in teaching young children and working on women’s empowerment projects, she believes in the power of education to help build a more inclusive and diverse world. Her experience of living in the international city of Berlin and travelling to around 20 countries has given her both inspiration and a deeper understanding of tolerance and diversity. Her advocacy and lobbying work against racism and discrimination reflect a strong commitment to equality and fairness in society.

Parul firmly believes that every child has the potential to change the world for the better. With the right motivation and a supportive community, children can grow into compassionate individuals who make a real difference. Inspired by her students, she writes stories that nurture kindness, empathy, and inclusion, encouraging young minds to embrace diversity and stand up for what is right.
