Book Description

Will Gadbrook (probably not his real name) has written a ‘men’s book’ with a difference – it’s suitable for women too. It’s funny. It’s bawdy. It’s serious. And it’s honest. It’s about the misconceptions we males labour under and how to avoid them. Most of it really happened – like, in real life. A conversation between an older and a younger man, it tackles infant trauma, role models, the class system (i.e., how not to get beaten up), girls, depression, how to find work that’s actually worth doing, fatherhood, adventure, work practices, annoying colleagues, friends, sex, marriage, health, grief, regrets and probably some other stuff. Why waste time? Read it today.

Here’s what people have said about it:

Pete (microbiologist) – It’s a mess.

Gaile (social worker) – I couldn’t put it down.

Will Gadbrook, like the Gaius of the title, is seventy-eight years young, has two grown-up sons and lives with his wife in the Southwest of England. Working intermittently during his lengthy ‘career’, living in various parts of the country and visiting various obscure parts of the world, he has campaigned and written on this and that, sometimes successfully. He has retired to his allotment and does his best to amuse his friends.
