The Pink Peacock by Nicolette Carter is a gorgeous story that reminded me of my childhood bedtime storybook my dad used to read me. The story follows a young princess named Rose, who loves anything and everything so long as it’s PINK. When the king and queen gift of a supposedly pink peacock for her birthday flys away, the princess goes on a colourful journey to find her missing pet. Learning to love all the colours of the rainbow along the way!

The array of colors are so vibrant, they really draw you into the story. This is a very humbling story as it reminds you that you can't always have what you want and that's ok. We just need to appreciate all that we already have. It teaches you that there is beauty in everything once you are open to change. I truly recommend this book to all.
