Kim Bluett is a retired social worker who completed her degree later on in life following a previous career in the police. She now lives more quietly these days with her ever-supportive husband, in their rural retreat.

This is her debut novel which seeks to provide the reader with a page-turning, fast-paced experience of one woman’s life who dares to challenge the good and bad in us all with a confronting honesty.

This poignant piece of work is deeply affecting and designed to leave a lasting impression long after the final page has been read.

What a moving, powerful and incredibly captivating read. I felt at a loss when the story came to an end...however what an ending!!! I became really invested in the characters and the life of Jamie. I laughed and cried but all throughout appreciated the beautiful quality how the story was told and written. The strong messages within the story, I've taken on board and have committed some of the very wise words to heart. It couldn't have come at a more poignant time for me to find strength in Jamie and her life. It will leave an impression on me for a long time after the final pages were read. A beautiful story and one to be very proud of.

Nic is absolutely loving it! She's reading it whenever she gets a spare moment with being busy mum working and battling fatigue but yes she is captivated and loving it she says well done it is fantastic xx

I have spent the entire day reading The Vapour That Vanishes. As a man it brought out some bewildering emotions, protectiveness towards Jamie, anger at what she had to endure plus incredible sadness at what we all must ultimately face. But equally it made me laugh out loud. It has been more than a week now since finishing the book and i still think about Jamie. I think i may have fallen in love with her

A fantastic story. The life of Jaime so inspirational and moving. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book I didn't want to put it down. Full of all types of emotion im extremely excited to see what this amazing author writes next.

Such a moving story! The life of Jamie is very inspiring to many young ladies going through a rough time. It is also a great story! I couldn’t stop reading. It only took me 2 days to read and I enjoyed every page of it! I look forward to reading more from this impeccable author.
