Meet Octavia, a little girl who lives inside a bubble—literally!

Octavia’s bubble is cosy, squishy and safe and it keeps all the scary world away, but it also stops her from making friends. One day a family comes along, taking her in—bubble and all. She starts to finally learn about play, laughter and lots of kindness, then suddenly something starts to happen. With her bubble starting to wobble until… POP!

With her bubble gone, she starts to explore the world around her, learning about all the new and exciting things it has to offer.

Brandon Mason is a 23-year-old aspiring author with a passion for making literature that resonates with young readers. He currently works in a nursery where he experiences children who come in from all different backgrounds and cultures. When reading to the children about princesses, dragons and dinosaurs, he often wondered where the books are for children who feel trapped and out of place, the children who fight monsters day in and day out. Through this relatable story, he hopes to inspire children to understand that life isn’t always what it seems, but there are always people around who can make that a little better.
