Pablo is a hardworking, upstanding police officer, proud of his long marriage and lovely family. Through decades of quiet dedication and single-minded devotion he has achieved the successes one strives for in life, both with his family and career. Close to retirement and to sitting back and enjoying the fruits of a successful career and marriage, a malicious spurious complaint at work should have no material consequences on his life, but it starts a domino effect, and before long he finds himself shockingly dismissed, divorced, without a home, and with a criminal record. This story explores a convoluted tragic journey of divorce, rich with emotion, loss, betrayal, revenge and confusion. Along the way it explores the dynamics of what makes a relationship weak and vulnerable, or strong and resolute. It’s not a miserable story, but one of resilience, hope, and true love. It is told with an immense depth of feeling, insight, humour and faith, and there are many truly surprising twists and turns as the story unfolds.

The author is a retired police officer who has had a lot of life experience. He was married to his first wife for thirty years and they raised four children. Following a divorce, he married again and divorced just three years later. Apart from writing, he plays the piano, loves gardening and has carried out a lot of DIY building projects in his spare time. He is a ‘people person’, and has always taken a keen interest in behavioural psychology and relationships.

The story is replete with heartbreaking emotions, reality, beautiful quotes and love letters. In an extremely simplistic manner the author puts forth the story of a God fearing cop. Pablo's love, his longing, his attempts to save his marriage, grips the readers attention.

  • @bbookworrms

The book revolves around love, emotional breakdown, divorce.
I liked the story as it was something different and amazing. It kept me hooked up to turn pages.
It might be slow paced but the language in the book is simple. The characters personality has been described well.
I would recommend this book to all.

    What a phenomenal thriller!
Replete with drama, entertainment, love, betrayal, friendships, mystery.

Pablo, a police officer is assigned the drug addicted dealing case. He is always right about his instincts related to cases that his job offers. Elseways, He's very much success in his married life too.
But one eventful day Pablo's previous clients raised a harassment case against him and his life changed drastically in different way.

At the beginning, this seemed like another mystery investigation story which had a lot of twists. But unlike many other, I found it very easy to get immersed in the story and get attached to the main characters.
The family bond and friendship, as well as the ending of the case, will surely give rise to a lot of emotions.

Right from the start, the author has set the perfect tone for the book. It’s racy, intriguing, and good enough for the reader’s.

It was totally unique and nothing repetitive. Will appeal to readers who like romance with a tinge of suspense and drama.

Are you yearning to be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride by a book that is an easy enough read? Then pick up Til Death We Do Part, the debut novel of indie author Bruno Beaches.

In the book, we follow Pablo, a police officer close to retirement, and his wife Delilah. They seem to have it all, and then, at the blink of an eye, they don't. The book is a deep exploration of what it is like to lose loved ones, but also the comfort of what we know and are content with. The characters in the book are lifelike and realistic, which makes it relatively easy to at least understand what they are going through. I mostly enjoyed the writing. It was simple and unembellished, which worked perfectly for the story and the characters.

At times, I found the book to be a little repetitive though, and I found myself to not be rooting for either of the main protagonists. At times, I found the book to be gripping, and changing my allegiance from Pablo to Delilah and back again.

All in all, a bit of a mixed bag for me, but as it is a swift read, I would still recommend it to anyone who enjoys exploring human nature, behavior and psychology. It's been a while since I've seen such a deep exploration of human emotion.

My first thought after reading the blurb was that it is a thriller. The novel actually focuses on the human emotions and psychology behind relationships.
I would have preferred if the story was written in first person's POV instead of 3rd person's. Initially I felt sorry for Pablo but after a time he felt irritating to me. Even Deliah. Who's side we got to know through her diary entries.
The book is slow paced and takes place over the course of 4 years. The book indeed gives a valuable lesson about letting go. Nothing good happens if we hold onto things too tightly.

The story ended on a cliffhanger so I feel there will be a sequel!

This is was definitely a new kind of read for me and I'm glad I read this one!

When Bruno reached out to me to check out his book I quickly read the synopsis and knew i wanted to read this one. I’ve been reading a lot of romances that are light, fluffy and easy and while I enjoy them I’m just looking for more lately. Til Death We Do Part gives me more... It’s real and shows the trial, error and challenges that go into life, marriage and divorce. Do check out this book if the synopsis interests you. ⁣

Book is not a heroic story of a police office falsely framed trying to clear his name. It is about coping up with sudden changes and learning to let go. Moving on from a 30 year old marriage build on trust and love would never be easy and this is what sets this story apart from other romance novels. Every movie, series and film talk about finding love. Representation of break-ups/seperations are very rare. Narration is slow but you can't expect a book talking about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to be fast-paced.

Must read if you are interested in such subjects.
