Book Description

They had it all.

Until one broke the pact.

For Lea, Chloe, Iris, and Rose, the isolated cottage in the heart of the Highlands was meant to be a peaceful haven after gruelling exams. But the wild beauty of the Ben Nevis landscape conceals latent tensions that explode with Rose’s sudden disappearance, leaving her twin sister and her cousins consumed by grief and uncertainty.

Haunted by anonymous and terrifying packages, the three young women embark on a desperate search, unearthing buried secrets and severely testing the fragile bonds that unite them. When an intimate page from Rose’s diary resurfaces on an obscure online forum, their certainties crumble. Who is watching them? And what sinister design lies behind this intrusion?

Their quest leads them to a nocturnal and gruesome rendezvous.

In the heart of the night, the truth erupts, revealing a horror far deeper than their initial grief. In this poignant psychological thriller, the survivors must confront danger and find a fragile glimmer of hope in the ashes of the past, while unlikely allies seek their own path to redemption.

Secrets can kill. So can silence.

Cindy Taylor is an author with a travelling soul and a passion for words. Born under the radiant sun of Guadeloupe in 1992, her journey began on the colourful shores of this French Caribbean Island and continued to mainland France at the age of six. There, her deep love for storytelling blossomed through her studies in literature, art history and management—a unique blend of creativity and structure.

In December 2018, a new chapter unfolded as she moved to England. It was on this inspiring new soil that her writing truly took flight.
