Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he served in the Navy onboard a destroyer, worked for an offshore oil rig installation company, founded a hazardous materials transport company in Greece, was chief operating officer of a healthcare company. A well-known sailor, he enjoys challenging off-road driving in Africa, the Far East, India, South/North America, speaks; Italian, English, French, Spanish, and a fair amount of Greek. Married with two daughters, he lives between Como, Venice, and Sardinia.
