Speaking Unspeakable Love
“Speak them out; these words have a voice.”
And if they speak to you, keep speaking back to them, to the spiritual being who starts speaking of love within you!
But here is a mystery… Why is “the more spiritual” not also “the more literal”? Instead, being literal is often seen as “legalistic and just barely possible”. Yet, the more spiritual a command seems, such as “You shall love the Lord your God”, the more idealistic and vaguely impossible it feels. The more is less, and the less is more. Is this, then, a law of God? How do we explain it? The Divine must surely be—though it is not for me to speak personally for God! Except that He commands us to proclaim what we hear!
And so God inspires me, prays in me, and changes me. And so I pray…
Dear God and Father of our Lord Jesus, and through him, the dearest of fathers—for that is what you are to us!
Please reveal to each of us, as your children and part of your family, that we are learning of your merciful goodness. Show us how deeply you loved us in giving us your own life-changing, merciful hope through forgiveness, offered to all humanity through your own son’s sacrifice!
You achieve goodness in us and give us hope by leading us to trust and glory in your merciful love!
You ask us to reply that if we wish to live like the Lord Jesus and be alive in him, you can enable us to die to sin and come alive to you, our carer, his Good God.
Now, being always able to pray, to love and be honest in your Holy Spirit, when we ask, you may then grant us your holiness and the help we need to desire, seek, and dedicate ourselves to your pure goodness. It was just as our Saviour prayed.
“Into your fatherly hands I give my all,” because he knows your pure goodness is his wholeness.
Praise you, Holy Spirit, who provides pardon and guides all God’s children. Please breathe into me and through me your loving integrity today and for all eternity. Inspire and encourage us to accept your real peace as your gift, knowing our friendship in you is a true joy. Let us care simply that we are who we are meant to be in you! So that through yourselves, if needed, we would willingly sacrifice to be together in your love!
And so I pray to love, to be honest, to pray again and again, and to rest in your good, gracious, and generous love!

The Delivery of Big Ben
This is the second book in the series, continuing the fantasy story of The Mysterious Robbery of Big Ben.
One month after the spectacular robbery of Big Ben in London, the adventure of negotiating its delivery to King Brely-1000 began. Winn Blitzzer’s Aunt Moxum gave him the green light to proceed, but only under her conditions and wishes, according to the previous agreement his nephew had made with the king. This agreement aligned with her own secret plan to have him marry the king’s only daughter, the Princess of Light.
Winn Blitzzer was under pressure from both sides to deliver and please them. But secretly, he had his own idea of how to satisfy all parties. He aimed to please his Aunt Moxum while also trying to free all the townspeople whom she had unjustly imprisoned in the invisible prison world by her evil whims. These prisoners, who had no hope of returning to normal life, included his own parents.
Finally, Winn Blitzzer secretly altered his Aunt Moxum’s plans by proposing a new agreement to the king. This satisfied the king more than their previous arrangement. Winn offered to give the great clock Big Ben to the king and release the Princess of Light from any obligations in their first agreement. In exchange, he requested a Royal Pardon Edict from the king on behalf of his Mambul Community. It was a win-win agreement for both parties.
The king accepted the proposal with great pleasure, creating mutual trust between him and Winn Blitzzer. Now it was up to Winn to use all kinds of diplomacy and deception to prevent his Aunt Moxum from guessing his true intentions.

Grandpa’s Tall Tales - Tale 2: The Pirate Dog
“Grandpa’s Tall Tales” is a series of stories featuring an inquisitive young boy [Jack] and the relationship he enjoys with his family, particularly his grandpa, which is the book’s main premise, as they are the two lead characters.
Each story is written to be best suited for parent/child reading time, i.e., to be read out loud together. They include common phrases children can learn and join in with. For example, the final words are always the same: “Jack would have to wait for another of Grandpa’s tall tales ... but only until next week.”
The sequential series introduces new characters and develops the principal ones in each story, building on their recognisable traits, which are drawn from everyday life and family members we have all encountered.
The Pirate Dog follows on from The Winter Robin. As the opening story, The Winter Robin introduced the principal characters and how they interact; this second tale in the series progresses straight into the action. It provides a riotous, fun ride for readers, culminating in one of Grandpa’s very tall tales!
Each story:
- is fully illustrated, with pictures that complement the tale,
- can be read as a standalone story as well as part of the series,
- starts with an introduction to the family and main characters, which changes slightly with each book to reinforce the independence of each tale,
- is based on common sayings or characteristics, all relating to animals, an endless source of fascination for children,
- provides a combination of comedy, observation, and sometimes emotion.
… and leads to Grandpa telling a very tall tale indeed.
